Interests: Mesoamerican archaeology, Cozumel, pilgrimage, oracles, Maya cave archaeology and SCUBA DIVING.
Shankari Patel received her MS in anthropology, geography, and religious studies at California State University, Los Angeles. She plans to do her dissertation research in Cozumel, Mexico exploring questions regarding ancient Maya pilgrimage.
