Interests: Mesoamerica, landscape archaeology, settlement patterns and GIS
I received my B.A from University of Bologna, Italy, where I worked in many archaeological projects in Italy as well as in the Middle East, before focusing on Mesoamerican archaeology. I would like to concentrate my research on the interaction between environment and settlement arrangements –especially in tropical areas- and on the social organization produced in these archaeological contexts.
I participated in the Holmul Archaeological Project in Guatemala and in the Proyecto Arqueológico Río La Venta, in the Zoquean region of Northwestern Chiapas.
