Interests: Environmental anthropology and political ecology

I study cattle ranching in the western United States and look at land management, decision-making, landscapes and identity issues.  I am also interested in the conflict between conservationists versus people who make their living off of the land, and finding workable solutions to environmental problems. My Master's thesis was ethnography on cattle ranchers in northern California.
