Jenny Banh received her BA at UCLA in anthropology. There she did research on Asian female gang members in Rosemead, CA. Later she received her MA in Cultural Studies with an emphasis in Public Policy. Her thesis looked at the sweatshop industry practices in El Monte, CA. Her doctoral work will focus on Asian and Latino coalition building, Hong Kong, and Chinese Diasporas.
